Almont DDA Facade Program2018-07-12T14:41:00-04:00

Project Description

The Village of Almont Downtown Development Authority (DDA) implemented a Façade Improvement Grant Program in 2012 to promote façade and signage improvements that are architecturally appropriate and complimentary to the existing main street architecture, urban fabric, and historic buildings in the downtown DDA area. RLA Studio was selected to provide professional design services based on our experience with historic architectural improvements and pedestrian oriented commercial architecture.

To date we have prepared designs for eight different properties in the DDA district. Our scope of services is flexible and accommodates the property/business owner that may have various design needs. We have experience with existing buildings that varies from major structural reconstruction to more cosmetic improvements such as signage, lighting, and color/material selections. The Yarbrough Insurance shopfronts were the first to be implemented and exemplify the type of building and signage improvements the DDA considers under the Façade Improvement Grant Program.
